Click To See Award Dr. Lucas graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 1994 with a B.S. degree in Biology. She received her M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Her family practice residency was completed in June of 2001 at the George Washington University-Holy Cross Hospital residency program, where she served as Chief Resident her last year. She worked in Silver Spring before starting Contemporary Family Medicine Associates in Chevy Chase, MD. Dr. Lucas is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is married to Daryl James Lucas and has two children, a son and daughter.

Katherine E. David, D.O.
Dr. David received her Bachelor of Science at Siena College in Loudonville, New York. She received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. She spent the next three years in residency training in Baltimore at the University of Maryland Family Medicine Residency Program. She had been in private practice in Bowie and Silver Spring for more than 6 years before starting CFMA & Medispa.
Dr. David is married and has two young sons. Her husband, Dr. Bobby S. David, is a general surgeon at Washington Adventist Hospital. Dr. Katherine E. David is board certified in Family Medicine.
Ladan Shayesteh,
D.O., MPH
Dr. Shayesteh completed her undergraduate education at the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She then received a Masters of Public Health in the field of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from George Washington University, in Washington DC. After receiving her MPh, she continued on to medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago. She spent the next 3 years completing a Family Practice residency at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Prior to practicing at CFMA, she worked in private practice in Silver Spring, MD. She is Board Certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.
She currently lives in Chevy Chase, MD with her husband, Dr. Pirooz Zia who is an Endodontist in Chevy Chase. They have two sons.
